Mendoza is one of the key wine growing regions in Argentina

Argentina boasts two wine destinations: Mendoza and Salta. The wine most predominantly produced is Malbec. Malbec is a red wine. The grapes used in production came originally from Bordeaux in France. Argentinian production of Malbec now accounts for around 70% of the world’s Malbec.

The area is home to more than 1,500 vineyards. Mendoza is the star of Argentine wines due to the incredible diversity of its production. Up to 80% of Argentinian wine production takes place here.
