FLAVOURS OF SALVADOR DO BAHIA

The Experience: The Bahian people has rich heritages that in its mixture, define the uniqueness of their culture. Gastronomy is one of the arts where the eclectic heritage of Salvador is reflected. Culinary traditions brought by Portuguese settlers were mixed with the flavours of African ethnicities that arrives during the period of slavery and with the ancient customs of the natives of the region. The result is a kitchen full of colour, very spicy and intense flavours based on secret techniques even for the most experienced chefs.

DAY 1: Rio Vermelho with dinner at Casa de Tereza Restaurant.

Arrival in Salvador do Bahía and private transfer to your hotel. After a dinner at the charming Casa de Tereza restaurant, watch a presentation of the Folkloric Ballet of Bahia, at the intimate Miguel Santana Theatre.

DAY 2: Historical City Tour with lunch at Villa Bahia and cachaça tasting.

Visit the Historical Centre of Salvador, declared World Heritage by UNESCO, and the main attractions of this city rich in contrasts, history and beauty. We will have a stop for tasting a famous local cachaça and having a delicious lunch at the well-known restaurants of Villa Bahia Hotel.

DAY 3: Panoramic City Tour with Ice Cream tasting and sunset at Solar do Unhão for a drink.

Visit the Lower City, the Itapagipe Peninsul and the Bonfim Church and mke a stop to taste artisanal ice-creams. Continue the visit in the traditional neighbourhoods of Ribeira and Montserrat. Stroll the Modelo Market, a traditional center of handcrafts, and end the tour with a drink while you watch a beautiful sunset from Solar do Unhão.

DAY 4: Morning at leisure

Transfer out to International Airport.
