CURIOSITIES OF SALVADOR DO BAHIA

The Experience: Salvador was founded in 1549 as “the first Portuguese possession overseas” to become also the first capital of Brazil. Built on the top of a default at the All Saints Bay and due to this default the city was divided into Upper Town and Lower Town and quickly becomes rich and cosmopolitan. Capital of the State of Bahia and the 3rd largest city in Brazil, Salvador has the largest complex of colonial and baroque architecture in Latin America. We invite to explore with us this city considered the “cultural capital of the country” and the most African city of Brazil, also famous for its rich gastronomy strongly influenced by Africa and Portugal.
